The gear is equipped with a mechanism by which a steering wheel is rotated in accordance with the steering operation of a player and returns automatically to a neutral position. An end cam which receives the resilient force of a compression coil spring sets normally a steering wheel to a neutral position through a guide roller. When the player rotates the steering clockwise, for example, the guide roller rotates clockwise along with a steering shaft, so that the end cam moves in accordance with the rotating angle of the steering wheel in the axial direction of the shaft. When the wheel is released, the end cam returns the steering to the neutral position through the guide roller upon reception of the resilient force of the coil spring without the need of a reversing operation. The steering gear has a detector for the rotating angle and rotating direction of the shaft to operate a car on a display. @(21pp Dwg.No.2/6)@. |
