PURPOSE:To obtain a catalyst enhanced in heat resistance and excellent in low temp. activity by supporting a transition metal on non-aluminosilicate having a pentasil type zeolite structure having one or more kind of a metal selected from specific elements. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust gas purifying catalyst is obtained by supporting a transition metal on non-aluminosilicate having a pentasyl type zeolite structure having one or more kind of a metal selected from Se, Y, In, Mn, Sb, Bi, Co and a lanthanoid element. In the case of this catalyst, since the crystal structure of non-aluminosilicate becoming a matrix is the pentasyl zeolite structure, relatively high heat resistance is obtained. Since the metal constituting the skeleton of a crystal is an element, the low temp. activity of the catalyst is high and an NOx purifying ratio becomes high in a low temp. region in the vicinity of 300 deg.C. |
