PURPOSE:To provide an electrification method by which a transfer material is attracted to a transfer carrying means and an image forming device utilizing the method. CONSTITUTION:When the leading edge of paper 21 reaches a carrying-in side D, a part corresponding to the leading edge of the paper is electrified on a belt 10 by a transfer charger 5A, so that the leading edge of the paper sheet is attracted to the belt 10. When the paper sheet 21 reaches a nip area C, the part corresponding to the trailing edge from the leading edge of the paper sheet is electrified by a transfer electrifier 5B, so that the leading edge of the paper sheet is kept being attracted to the belt 10 and further the part except the leading edge of the paper sheet is also kept being electrified, thereby wholly attracting the paper sheet to the belt 10. |
