PURPOSE:To make it possible to position simply the leads of a surface mount component to pads on a printed board by a method wherein slits and guides and pins, which are used for positioning the surface mount connector to the printed board, are provided. CONSTITUTION:A surface mount connector 9 is arranged on the upper part of a printed board 6 and a laser reflow jig 1 is installed on the upper part of the connector 9. Slits 2 are opened in the jig 1 which is located over pads 8, pins 4 are respectively arranged on both sides in the longitudinal direction of the jig 1 and guides 3 are respectively arranged on these sides of the pins 4. The connector 9 is positioned to the board 6 by the guides 3 and the pins 4 are respectively inserted in positioning holes 7, whereby component leads 10 of the connector 9 are positioned at the pads 8 on the board 6. Then, a laser beam is emitted from above the jig 1 and the optimum laser beam 5 is applied to the lead 10 and the pad 8 except the connector 9 and a lead comb burr 11. |
