PURPOSE:To obviate a problem caused by a difference of a character code system by selecting a character code converting part provided on a character code converter. CONSTITUTION:A character code converter 104 is provided with four pieces of character code converting parts 106a-106d in each separate character code system of a work processing program having possibility utilized by the information processing system concerned. In such a state, a converting part selecting means 105 selects one of the character code converting parts 106a-106d provided on the character code converter 104 in accordance with the character code system of work processing programs 101a-101b used by the system at present, so that a character code in the data given and taken between the work processing program and a data base managing part is subjected correctly to code conversion by the character code converter 104. In this case, the converting part selecting means 105 is provided separately at every work processing program loaded on the information processing system concerned. |
