Current roller (I) consists of powder metallurgically produced Ni-based material, pref. hot isostatically pressed into the final form. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) can be used to galvanically coat metallic strips. (I) has a homogeneous structure. In an example, ,the sleeve of a current roller was produced from an alloy contg. max. 0.015 C, max 2.0 Co, 14-18 Cr, 14-17 Mo, max 0.7 Ti, max 3.0 Fe, max 1.0 Mn, max 0.08 Si and a balance of Ni. The alloy was melted, unwanted elements removed in a vacuum, sputtering with protective gas to produce spherical grains.
