The measurement arrangement, which generates distance pulses, is mounted on the wheel so that it rotates with it. It contains a rotatably mounted pendulum (12) which produces a reference position. The centre of gravity lies beneath the wheel's rotation axis (14). The pendulum (12) contains a pulse transducer (22,24) and a transmitter (28) for wireless data transfer via electromagnetic waves to a corresp. receiver in the vehicle. The receiver is connected to an evaluation device. USE/ADVANTAGE - For measuring distance covered. Arrangement does not produce additional wind resistance, is less susceptible to damage than conventional ones and provides data for on-board evaluation.
