Current leads (2,3) for the lamp (1) project from the compressed ends of the latter. The lamp is fixed by a holding element (5) adjustable in relation to the socket base (4). This holding element consists of a barrel-shaped, bowed, fastening anchorage (6) of light plastics material surrounded at its thickest section by a ring (7) of ferromagnetic material embedded in a groove. The anchorage (6) enables the holding element to be placed in a cylindrical recess of the socket base, also of plastics material, and to be movable in all directions to a certain extent. The socket base and anchorage cooperate like a ball and socket. The antidazzle part is extended by electrically-insulating, heat-resistant, material (11), e.g ceramic, mounted on the fastening anchorage (6) and in the shape of a trough with its concave side facing the lamp.
