Cold storage coolant filler using three=way valve

The coolant reservoir (15) is connected (29) to the three-way valve (14) between a hollow needle valve (12) in the refrigerator coupling (11) and a contaminant filter (16) in the conduit to the compressor (17). A non-return valve (22) feeds compressed fluid via an oil extractor (18), condenser (19) and capillary tube (28) to the discharge receptacle (20). The refrigerator (10) after evacuation is flushed with a small quantity of vapour (33) before being filled with coolant at high pressure. The vapour is drawn off via a two-way stop valve (30).
