PURPOSE:To provide an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer compsn. which has excellent gas barrier properties, low water absorption, high pinhole resistance, and improved mixing effect in extrusion and film-forming properties. CONSTITUTION:An ethylene copolymer compsn. is provided by compounding (A) 30-75wt.% ethylene-unsatd. carboxylic acid copolymer having a content of an unsatd. carboxylic acid of 5-30wt.% or metal salt of the copolymer, (B) 1-40wt.% graft copolymer prepd. by grafting an unsatd. carboxylic acid or its anhydride onto an amorphous or lowly crystalline ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer having an ethylene content of 60-90mol%, and (C) 20-50wt.% ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer having a vinyl alcohol content of 50-80mol%. The apparent melt viscosity of component C at 220 deg.C under a shear rate of 100sec-<1> is higher than that of component A by 120-1000 Pa.s. A molded structure wherein component C is dispersed homogeneously in the from of thin flakes is provided. |
