<p>PURPOSE:To further reduce a shock to an occupant so as to improve soft constraining performance even more while suppressing the enlargement of a device. CONSTITUTION:There are provided an air bag 1 fitted to a vehicle interior member 3 developed instantaneously by an inflator 12 ignited by the detection of a vehicle collision; moving mechanism 5 for moving the vehicle interior member 3, fitted with the air bag 1, instantaneously by the set stroke in the vehicle exterior direction; and a timing adjusting means 7 for adjusting the operation timing of the moving mechanism 5. The operation timing is to be after the air bag 1 is fully infrared to constrain an occupant initially and before the occupant contacts the vehicle interior member 3.</p> |
