PURPOSE:To provide a metallic vacuum-deposited polypropylene film for 7 capacitor a film after vacuum deposition is free from film missing the film of the vacuum-deposited layer. CONSTITUTION:A metallic vacuum-deposited polypropylene film for capacitor where the atomic constitution ratios of the surface layer of <=100Angstrom as the ratios of the numbers of atoms are 0.01-0.2O/C and 0.1-0.2N/C and the film resistance value is >=7OMEGA/square is produced by giving corona discharge treatment to a polypropylene film in the discharge treating atmosphere having gaseous N to gaseous CO2 ratios by vol. of 50:50-95:5.
