PURPOSE:To produce the title foam having a low shrinkage and a high flame retardance by foaming a compsn. essentially comprising a resole phenol resin, a curative, and specific blowing agents. CONSTITUTION:A process for producing a foam from a compsn. comprising esseintially a resole phneol resin, a curative (e.g. p-toluenesulfonic acid), and two blowing agents, methylene chloride and a hydrocarbon boiling at 100 deg.C or lower (e.g. pentane).
