<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the rupture of the part other than the breakage part of a cover body and easily regulate the progressive direction of breakage by forming a weak breakage leading part in the outside direction from at least one part of the side part set along the longitudinal direction of the breakage part and in the direction opposite to the progressive direction of the rupture of the breakage part at this position. CONSTITUTION:A cover body 26 covers and protects the driver's side of an air bag in accommodated state in the ordinary case. When the air bag is expanded, breakage progresses along a weak breakage part 41 and is ruptured by the expansion pressure of the air bag, and a projection port of the air bag to project to the driver's side is formed. The air bag is developed from this projection port, and protects the driver. If the breakage progresses in the outside direction of the breakage part, deflecting from the breakage part 41, during progression of breakage the breakage is led in the normal direction along a weak breakage leading part 45, in the state where breakage reaches the weak breakage leading part 45, and restoration to the breakage part 41 is performed.</p> |
