PURPOSE:To prevent the oxidation of a specified dye releasing redox (DRR) compound in synthesis, dissolution, emulsification dispersion or coating by adding an N,N-di-substituted hydroxylamine to the DRR compound. CONSTITUTION:An N,N-di-substituted hydroxylamine represented by formula I [where each of R<1> and R<2> is (substituted) alkyl or (substituted) cycloalkyl and R<1> and R<2> may bond to each other to form a ring] is used as an antioxidant. By adding the hydroxylamine to a compound represented by formula II or III [where each of X and Y is H, (substituted) alkyl, (substituted) alkoxy, (substituted) alkylsulfonyl, halogen, NO2, CN, heterocyclic or the like, Y may be a ring which is condensed to the hydroxybenzene ring to form a satd. or unsatd. carbon ring or heterocyclic ring, at least one of X and Y is a group making this redox compound nondiffusible, D is a dye residue, and n is 1, 2 or 3], the air oxidation of the DRR compound is prevented in synthesis or processing. |
