<p>PURPOSE:To permit an end user to update a database supplied as a ROM card. CONSTITUTION:When an input card ID and the card ID of the ROM card are matched (step S2), which are registered in the correction data table of the original RAM (step S3). When a header which agrees with the inputted header is in the ROM card (step S6), the head address of the area to be changed which is stored corresponding to the retrieval word is registered in the correction data table (step S9). Then the inputted correction start character number and the change data are registered in the correction data table (step S11 and S13). The real data retrieved from the ROM card is updated to the change data while referring to the correction data table at its display.</p> |
