ELECTRIC CURRENT LEADS AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To obtain long current leads which have favorable superconducting properties and low resistance and low thermal conductivity properties as well. CONSTITUTION:A noble metal element 2 is diffused into a joint section between oxide superconductors 1a and 1b, thereby forming the junction. More specifically, a plurality of superconductors are joined by way of the noble metal element and heat-treated. This construction makes it possible to enhance the coupling force of the crystals at the junction and minimize a drop in the characteristic resultant from the junction and provide a long conductor proper to current leads.
