PURPOSE:A safe cosmetic having a smooth and refreshing touch, without stickiness, and comprising an oil collected from the seed of Faveleiro and/or its hydrogenation product as an oil phase constituent. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic comprising an oil collected from the seed of Faveleiro (Cnidoscolus phyllacanthus) naturally growing in the northern part of South America or its hydrogenation product or both. The oil is a triglyceride consisting of linoleic acid mainly and a safe fat and oil having a mild odor like cacao and improved feeling of use without stickness like the natural fat and oil. 1-60wt% of the oil is usually incorporated into a cosmetic to form a lipstick, milky lotion or cream. The Faveleiro grows naturally even in a dry land and can be readily cultivated. |
