PURPOSE:To rapidly and accurately confirm the performance and quality of a viscosity joint within a short time by deciding the performance of the viscosity joint from a hump time and transmission torque. CONSTITUTION:When a drive shaft is rapidly rotated at a prescribed speed (e.g. 3,000 to 4,000rpm) for a prescribed time (e.g. 60sec), the viscosity joint 1 is rotated while interlocking with the drive shaft so that a rotary shaft 3 and a case 2 rotated following the shaft 3. Then, the joint 1 is set up on a measuring instrument. A motor M is driven and the rotary shaft 3 is rapidly rotated at 120rpm. When transmission torque measured by a torque meter T reaches a prescribed hump torque (e.g. 45kgm), the setting of a hump state is regarded, a time required up to the hump state is measured and the rotation of the motor M is immediately stopped. When the stop time has passed, the motor M is driven again and rotated at a slow speed, e.g. 30rpm. The transmission torque at that time is immediately measured by a torque meter T. |
