<p>An improvement in the synthesis of diamond by a combustion method, in which diamond having a crystal grain size of not less than 1.5 mm is synthesized economically. A method having the steps of burying one or more seed crystal grains of diamond (2) in the surface of a substrate (1), and applying a combustion flame to the seed crystal grain of diamond (2) while cooling the substrate (1), so as to grow the seed crystal diamond (2), whereby one larger diamond grain can be obtained.</p> |
