Only the head side end area (8) of the back (6) together with a strip section (9) projecting towards a cross fillet (10) is of harder material than all the other parts (2, 3, 5-7, 10, 12, 15, 16). The end area, when viewed in the direction of the foot section, extends not quite to the point at which, in sealing engagement, the wall (15) of the chamber (14) is locatable on the back. The length of the end section is greater than the max. arching of the cross fillet in sealing engagement. The foot section (2), a covering lip (5) and the back (7) have thicker walls than the harder end area and all remaining sections (10, 12, 15, 16) of the head section (4). ADVANTAGE - Provides an improved sealing arrangement for window and door frames.
