<p>Disclosed is an isocyanate group containing admixture having diminished organometallic and base catalyzed reactivity comprising an admixture of isocyanate group containing compounds and one or more isocyanate reactivity adjusting agents selected from the group consisting of phosphoryl chloride, phosphoryl bromide, phosphorus trichloride, phosphorus tribromide and mixtures thereof. Also disclosed are polymers, particularly polyurethanes and polyisocyanurates, prepared by admixing a di- and/or poly-isocyanate, an active hydrogen containing compound, and one or more of the isocyanate reactivity adjusting agents. A method of preparing the isocyanate group containing admixture and polymer is also described.</p> |
