The servo-operated valve is particularly for use as a sanitary mixing and/or stop valve. Upstream of the valve is a chamber divided by a movable component, and whose sections are selectively supplied with a flow medium under control of a hand-operated regulator. The movable component is coupled to the valve plug. The movable component can be a piston (2) forming a sliding seal in the chamber (1), while the sections (3) of the latter each have inlet and discharge branches (4,5) controlled by a two-way hand-operated key valve (6). In the rest position the inlet for the medium is open and the outlet to atmosphere shut off. The piston is coupled by a rod (7) to a valve slide, shaped to give the desired water discharge or mixing ratio.
