<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating service resource information of an IP network where physical resource information is mapped as an attribute of an IP address. <P>SOLUTION: This method for generating service resource information of an IP network comprises: a process for collecting physical resource information from a plurality of IP packet transferring devices (2) connected to an IP network (1) to be managed; a process for using the collected physical resource information to construct a network topology for the IP network and generating link information; and a process for mapping inherent resource information of each IP transferring device (2) to the generated link information, generating service resource information obtained by connecting the link information of the IP network and the resource information. The service resource information to be generated is obtained by mapping the physical resource information as an IP address attribute. As a result, the user of this method manages physical resources such as line capacity for each IF, grasps the actual residual capacity of the resources, calculates the residual amount of a residual band, and prevents the occurrence of congestion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
