The operator comprises - a torque motor (3), the output shaft (4) of which is rendered rotationally integral with a first drive pinion (5) which is coaxial with this output shaft (4), - a second drive pinion (6) engaged by the first pinion (5) for the operation of the door leaf (2a, 2b), - rotary driving means (7a, 7b) of the door leaf (2a, 2b) which are controlled by the second pinion (6), - torque-limiting means (8) mounted on the output shaft (4) of the torque motor (3) for controlling in sequence the interruption of the closure and a reopening of the door leaf in the event of an obstruction to the closure of the latter and first sensor means (39a, 39b) for the limit of travel of the free end (10a, 10b) of the door leaf (2a, 2b) which are integral with this free end in order to interact wtih second sensor means (40a, 40b) for the limit of travel of said free end (10a, 10b) which are integral with the frame (12).
