Herbicidal N-aryl-substituted nitrogen-containing heterocycles of the formula <IMAGE> (I) in which Het represents a heterocycle of the formula <IMAGE> <IMAGE> <IMAGE> R1 represents hydrogen or halogen and R2 represents halogen, hydroxyl or represents a radical -Z2-R8, where X1 represents oxygen, represents a -CH2- group, represents a <IMAGE> group or represents a <IMAGE> group, X2 represents nitrogen or a CH group, Z1 represents oxygen or sulphur, Z2 represents oxygen or sulphur, R3 and R4 independently of one another in each case represent hydrogen or alkyl, R5 and R6 either independently of one another in each case represent hydrogen or alkyl or together represent a double-linked alkanediyl radical R7 represents hydrogen, alkyl or represents optionally substituted aryl and R8 represents in each case optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl or cycloalkyl.
