VIBRATION-DAMPING MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To provide a vibration-damping material having wide usable temperature range and excellent adhesive strength and adhesion followability. CONSTITUTION:The objective vibration-damping material is produced by forming a filler using a binder composed of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and a petroleum resin. The ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer has a vinyl acetate content of 30-65wt.% and the petroleum resin contains an aromatic petroleum resin component as a main component. The petroleum resin composed mainly of the aromatic petroleum resin is used in an amount of 160-330 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having the vinyl acetate content of 30-65wt.%. Flaky powder and granular powder and/or fibrous powder are used as the filler. The amount of the flaky powder is 30-150 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the binder. The amount of the granular powder and/or the fibrous powder is 1-50 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the binder. The total amount of the filler is 30-180 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the binder.
