ELECTRIC TRAVELING UNIT

PURPOSE:To travel a unit at an appropriate speed at all times by automatically applying brake on the unit at an inclining part. CONSTITUTION:When a motor 12 is driven through a traveling mechanism 13 to travel on an overhead line, inclination of a unit is detected through an inclination detecting section 17. When the unit travels on a down slope with an inclination higher than a predetermined value, a speed control section 15 connect the motor 12 with brake resistors R1 or R2 thus applying an appropriate generative brake thereon.
