PURPOSE: To obtain a toner composition contg. a fullerene having the third conformation of carbons and exhibiting a stable triboelectric characteristic over a long period by incorporating the pigment grain contg. a resin grain and >=1 kind of fullerene into the composition. CONSTITUTION: This composition contains resin grains, fullerenes, i.e. Buckminster fullerene or the carbons having the novel third conformation called a Bucky ball and the pigment grain contg. fullerenes of other conformations. The fullerene is the third conformation of carbons and is a cluster of 60 carbon atoms arranged on the vertices of a truncated icosahedron which resembles a small-sized soccer ball. Further, the composition contains a resin grain, especially a styrene-butadiene resin, a fullerene pigment grain, a polymer hydroxywax obtainable from petrolite and a charge reinforcing additive as an optional component, e.g. distearyldimethylammonium methyl sulfuric acid. |
