<p>PURPOSE:To send the execution history of a CPU to the outside at a high speed and to actuate at a low speed a microcomputer containing an emulator interface circuit for monitoring the CPU operation when an access is given to an external memory. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 processes the digital signal based on a system clock signal SCLK. An emulator clock generating circuit 3 inputs the signal SCLK and supplies a clock signal of the lower frequency than the signal SCLK to an emulator interface circuit 2 as an emulator clock signal ICLK with a mode transition signal MOD inputted from the CPU 1. Meanwhile the signal SCLK is supplied to the circuit 2 as the signal ICLK with no input of the signal MOD respectively. The circuit 2 monitors the operation of the CPU 1 based on the signal ICLK.</p> |
