PURPOSE:To sharply reduce labor for dictionary maintenance in a Japanese input system and to prevent the generation of a failure in dictionary maintenance. CONSTITUTION:When a dictionary maintenance utility part 2 in the Japanese input system is not started, the utility part 2 is started by an automatic dictionary forming function part 1 and a dictionary forming instruction is sent from the utility part 2 to a server machine side communication part 5 through a client machine side communication part 4. Then a dictionary is accessed from a server part 6 through a dictionary accessing part 7 to execute the maintenance of a server machine side dictionary 8. After ending the maintenance, the end of the maintenance is returned to the utility part 2 through the reverse process. Thereby the utility part 2 can obtain dictionary information from a client machine side dictionary 9. In the case of executing the maintenance of the dictionary from a dictionary maintenance user interface part 3, similar operation is applied to the dictionary 8 through the communication part 4. |
