PURPOSE:To provide a reciprocating electric razor allowing the selection of shaving mode, depending upon a user's beard or whisker quality, skin quality or the like, and ensuring an optimum shaving condition. CONSTITUTION:An electric razor is equipped with a body case 1, an outer cutter body 15 connected to the top thereof, and an inner cutter body 12 reciprocating in contact with the internal surface of the outer cutter 17 of the outer cutter body 15, while the inner cutter body 12 is positioned nearer the front or rear side of the body case 1. In this electric razor, the body case 1 and the outer cutter body 15 are detachably so connected to each other as to be relatively reversible right and left. Also, the outer cutter 17 has the first contact zone 21 where the inner cutter body 12 selectively comes in contact, and the second contact zone 22 in parallel to the zone 21 and selectively contacted by the inner cutter body 12. In addition, the cutting patterns of both contact zones 21 and 22 are made different from each other. |
