The emulator is used in the design and testing of microprocessor systems in the field of computer hardware. This emulator simplifies the process of switching between the user bus and the system bus. In this emulator, a decoder is interfaced to two lines running to a mode control switch, whose output is interfaced to a system resources control circuit, a user resources control circuit, and a user address generation circuit. The system resources control circuit is also interfaced to the system bus for control signals, to the data buffer, to the decoder, and to the high-order address line. The user resources control circuit is interfaced to the system bus for control signals, to the control-signal buffer, to the user-bus buffer, and to the high-order address line.
