PURPOSE: To provide a multi-axis exercise device in which motions around at least two or favorably three different axial lines of an ankle can be simultaneously controlled. CONSTITUTION: A micro-processor provides a signal to control a motor to drive receiving bases 24, 30 and a plate for a desired motion to be made. A potentiometer provides position feedback information about real positions of the receiving plates 24, 30 and the plate, and a series of resistors provide feedback of real motor drive current values. The micro-processor monitors positions of two motions to master motion to keep the motion in synchronized conditions. The motions are synchronized to simultaneously reach an end of a travelling limit for each axis. The micro-processor further monitors a drive current to prevent an overcurrent condition and its speed, and limits a travelling speed. |
