PURPOSE:To realize the 2-way communication with one optical fiber cable only and to reduce the mount area through the module design. CONSTITUTION:In the inter-LAN module optical communication equipment in which an optical transmitter and an optical receiver are designed as modules and they are placed opposite to each other for 2-way optical communication, DFB laser diodes are employed for oscillation elements of optical transmitters 1, 8, photo diodes or avalanche photo diodes are employed for elements of optical receivers 3, 6, optical hybrids 4, 9 are used to synthesize each optical wave for the optical transmitters 1, 8 and the optical receivers 3, 6 and one fiber cable 10 is used to interconnect the opposite optical hybrids 4, 9. |
