PURPOSE:To input Roman alphabets without affecting to the functions and the operation of a conventional input device in a stock price information display device consisting of a controller, a display device and the input device provided with numeric keys for designating display contents on the display device as a terminal equipment connected to a stock price information line. CONSTITUTION:A controller 1 is provided with input buffer memories 5 and 6 for which the input code inputted with numeric keys is stored, a converted character string definition table 7 for which a character or character strings corresponding to a part or the whole of the input code is arbitrarily defined, and a retrieving and converting means 8 which retrieves the converted character string definition table 7 in accordance with the input code stored in the input buffer memory 6 by the operation of a conversion key and converts a part or the whole of the input code to a corresponding character or character string. |
