PURPOSE:To provide the word processor provided with the magnifying and smoothing function which enables key input operation during a smoothing proc ess carried out in accordance with a magnification indication and makes the key input operation speedy and smooth. CONSTITUTION:When an editing key of a keyboard is operated, it is repeatedly decided at very short time intervals whether or not the key input operation is performed (S30); when a character key is operated together with a magnifying key, smoothing information is generated (S34), a magnification process is performed (S35), and magnified characters which are not smoothed are displayed (S36). When there is not key input (S30: No), a smoothing process (S46) is performed and magnified characters which are smoothed are displayed instead of the magnified characters. If key input operation is performed during the smoothing process, the smoothing process is interrupted. |
