The improvement relates, in particular, to the spacers intended for belts with gyratory movement describing, in particular, a helicoid (screw surface). These spacers consist of an arch (7) arranged in a plane substantially perpendicular to the plane of the belt and transversely with respect to its direction of advance. This arch comprises two lateral posts (10, 11), connected at their upper part by means of a plate (12) located in a plane parallel to the plane of the belt, which serves as a seat for the adjacent upper turn. These arches are produced from metallic strip or wire and may include, on the side of the inner border of the belt, a drive finger (16) and, integral with this finger (16), a sliding shoe (block) (18) which interacts with the structure which supports and forms the helicoid. <IMAGE>
