PURPOSE:To reproduce the videos faithful to the television signals inputted to the projection type liquid crystal display CONSTITUTION:Signal lines 16 and scanning lines 17 are arranged in a matrix form on the high-polymer liquid crystal panel 3 of this projection type liquid crystal display device. A common electrode substrate 13b is disposed, via the high-polymer liquid crystal film 12, to face a transparent substrate 13a disposed with TFTS 18 in the intersected parts of these lines. A resetting circuit 22 which grounds the voltage electrified to the high-polymer liquid crystal panel 12 to the signal lines 16 by every one frame is connected to the signal lines 16 of the high-polymer liquid crystal panel 3.
