The invention relates to a device for evacuating, by means of an outfall (10), floating bodies (15) carried along by an effluent (11) which flows out through the outfall (10). The device in accordance with the invention includes entrainment means (30) for drawing off the floating bodies (15) in a drawing-off zone (A) substantially located vertically in line with the outfall (10) and entraining them towards the bottom of the inlet branch (12) of the outfall, in order to release them in a region where the current overcomes the upthrust (Archimedean thrust) and entrains the floating bodies (15) downstream of the outfall (10).
