The present invention relates to a device making it possible to fix telephone handsets under a work console in such a way as to be able to pick them up by hand over the whole length of the console. According to Figure 1, the invention is characterised by a groove (9) machined under the console (2), this groove is lined with neoprene-type plastic or padding constituting a cushion which is adjustable over sufficient width to accommodate the handgrip of the telephone handsets which thus remain fixed under the console and can be moved at the whim of the operator.
