摘要 <p>The invention relates to a clutch disk lining. A carbon friction article consists of a body (1) with working surfaces (2) which is composed of mutually alternating layers (3, 4). The relationship between the thickness of each layer (4) consisting of discrete fibres and the thickness of each layer (3) consisting of continuous fibres equals 2.0-15.0 near the working surface and 1.0-4.0 inside the article. The thickness of the layer (4) of discrete fibres inside the article is less than the thickness of the layer (4) of the same fibres near the working surface. The discrete fibres near the working surface (2) have a modulus of elasticity equal to 250-700 GAp. In a method according to the invention, a layer of continuous fibres is impregnated with pitch so as to obtain the porosity of 30-80 % with the pore size of 0.2-2.00 mm. The weight ratio between each layer of the discrete fibres and each layer of continuous fibres equals 1.5-11.0 near the working surface and 0.8-3.0 inside the article. The total weight of the discrete fibres inside the article is less than that near the working surface.</p>
