The door window lifter for a car has at least two pivoted lifting arms holding the window pane and a driving motor. The driving motor is a spindle motor with a geared rod running in the captive nut of one arm. The spindle motor has a U-shaped holder which is pivoted on the support plate, preferably about an axis at right angles to the plane of the arms. The holder has loop-type legs with openings into which fit the retaining bolts for the motor, these openings being at right angles to the pivot axis of the holder. The captive nut for the driven lifting arm is held in a loop. ADVANTAGE - Inexpensive to mfr. from simple components.
