For the fine setting of the cutting depth, a router has a rod (18) interacting with a rotary plate (19). The motor housing (2, 3) can additionally be lifted or lowered by small amounts relative to the main guide column (25) for the fine setting of the cutting depth. Used for this purpose is an adjusting member (30) which is mounted on rolling bearings and is in screw-thread engagement with a clamping sleeve (26) working against the guide column (25). The fine setting of the cutting depth has the advantage that only a very small expenditure of force is necessary and subsequent unintentional adjustment of the cutting depth cannot occur. ……
