An air chest plate (2) is welded to the baseplate (1) of the pneumatic bellows type jack to create a shallow air chamber (3). Between the air chest plate and bellows (5) is an O-ring seal. A boss (4) welded to the plate on one side of the bellows is provided for the connection of a compressed air line supplying air to the bellows via the chamber. ADVANTAGE - Design preserves low closed height of jack.
