The screening machine deck consists of a rigid rectangular frame with longitudinal stringers (2) on which are supported the rectangular screens (3a). On top of the stringers are secured adaptor strips (5)of rubber or plastic material, and pitched along the strips are short, transverse T-slots (6). Rubber or plastic material projections (7) on the underside of the screen elements can be forced downwards to snap into the T-slots and hold the screen elements abutting against each other. ADVANTAGE - Screen elements are easily replaced in multi-screen machines eg with restricted access from above.
