Carriage with inclinable ramps for moving helicopters

The arrangement for transporting aircraft into/out of hangars uses a carriage loadable via ramp-like inclines. The carriage (T) is adapted for use with helicopters with skid landing gear, comprising two longitudinal girders (1) carrying rollers (2) or sliding-surfaces to reduce friction when accepting the skids.Each girder has a non-steerable wheel, and the girder front ends are linked by a crossbeam (3) supported - via a jacking device (4) - on one or two steerable wheels, forming a rearwards-open-U plan chassis.The crossbeam carries a two-drum winch (6). The girders may be torsionally-stiff box girders, with the roller supports and sliding track projectinq sideways
