PURPOSE:To prevent a web wave generated in the process of cooling after hot rolling and to secure a good material in the method for manufacturing thin web H-shape steel having a high section modulus to the weight per unit length and excellent in profitability. CONSTITUTION:Steel is immersed in a bath after finish rolling, is extracted at the time when the section temp. is made approximately uniform and is air- cooled. By regulating the temp. at the time of its immersing in the bath and the bath temp. into the range under allowable conditions, a web stress does not exceed a web buckling stress 17, so that a web wave can be prevented. Since the prevention of a web wave is easily executed compared to the case by the conventional forced cooling method and a hardened structure is not formed, a good material can be obtd. |
