<p>Novel catalyst compositions suitable for application in the preparation of polymers of carbon monoxide with one or more olefinically unsaturated compounds, which comprise a Group VIII metal and a supported dentate ligand that can be obtained by contacting a solid carrier having an average particle diameter greater than 0.5 mm which contains reactive groups, with a dentate ligand containing at least two phosphorus-, nitrogen- and/or sulphur-containing dentate groups through which the dentate ligand can complex with the Group VIII metal and that in addition to the dentate groups comprises a reactive group, in which reaction the reactive groups of the carrier react with those of the ligand.</p> |
