PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition, composed of a specific styrenic resin, a specified compound containing a triazine skeleton, a specific polyphenylene ether and red phosphorus, etc., excellent in low mold depositing properties, moldability and dimensional stability and useful as household appliances, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is composed of (A) one or two or more styrenic resin components containing a reactional function group selected from alpha, beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydrides, epoxy group and carboxyl group, (B) a polyphenylene ether such as poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene ether), (C) a phosphorus-containing flame retardant composed of red phosphorus and/or an organophosphorus compound such as methyl neopentyl phosphite and/or (D) a triazine-skeleton containing compound containing one or more unsubstituted amino groups (e.g. melamine). Furthermore, the amounts of the components based on 100 pts.wt. total amount of the components (A) and (B) are preferably 10-30 pts.wt. component (B), preferably 1-30 pts.wt. component (C) and preferably 5-30 pts.wt. component (D). |
